The Switzer 2011 Holiday Newsletter

Welcome! Our annual holiday newsletter is here!

Our big family event this year was Ashley and Nick's Wedding in September! We are so very happy for them and felt blessed to be a part of it all.

Ashley and Nick

Ashley continues to work at Charles Schwab and her husband Nick is a Greenwood Village police officer. They got married on September 24th at Hudson Gardens in Littleton, and had their reception at the Hyatt Regency in the Denver Tech Center.

is our 8 year old 3rd grader.

He attends High Plains Elementary...

Tobey is still very into Legos - we attended the grand opening of a new Legos store at the nearby Park Meadows Mall, and have made it to every monthly Lego "Minibuild" night since they opened. He had a big year with Cub Scouts - his first two day camping trip to Magness, along with a camping trip to Cheyenne Mtn Park.
Some of Tobey's best friends are: TJ, Ian, Cooper, and Cameron.

Our beloved Chocolate Labrador of nearly 14 years passed away on July 4th this year. While this was very hard and made us incredibly sad, we were fortunate to get to spend a lot of special time with her in her final days and she passed away peacefully with us all together while she was in our backyard.

Twizzler was a happy loyal dog, and a huge part of our lives since she entered it in 1997.

Here is a small collection of photos of Twizzler between 2000 and 2011.

Carrie and Alan

Carrie continues to work at Comcast, makes awesome gingerbread men around the holidays, loves to ski, and ran in her first ever Bolder Boulder in 2011.

Alan still works at ProBuild, supports the Denver Nuggets, enjoys running with Tobey, and turned 42.

We took family trips to Florida in March, and the Broadmoor in August. We were visited by the Geren's in March (my cousin Debbie's family), and the Matthews (my sister and her family) came to visit us from Indiana in July. Finally, we celebrated Christmas with the newlyweds.

Happy Holidays!
